Project Runaway: beautiful dress at material cost

Read how my wife and I had successfully reduced clothing expenses. I’m a big fan of online banking

Imagine this … you go to a Citibank’s branch and settle home loan instalment, go to HSBC’s branch and settle car loan instalment, next go to Standard Chartered’s branch to settle credit card payment and transfer money to a sister, an undergraduate student, and lastly, rush to a post office to settle utility bills. Sounds very tiring, isn’t it? You drive car, stuck in a traffic jam, avoiding car accident, pay toll, find parking, pay parking coupon or ticket, walk under the sun or in the rain and you get yourself exhausted. And maybe, you have to take half day leave to settle all these. With online banking, you can forget all these troubles.

Financial literacy gives life long benefits but the clothes, mobile phones, cars and outdoor dinner treats give short term satisfactions and benefits.

Additionally, we should know where to get them and hence, we should plan our shopping route – before we start our car’s engine. That is why we must have a shopping list. A shopping list a document of planned shopping items together with their quantities and the estimated prices, and remarks e.g. places where we could/intend to get them. A shopping list is supported by our commitment to follow it. There are many benefits to it.
